The Vänerleden is marked with red signposts along the way. You can download a digital map into your smartphone.

The Vänerleden is a national cycle path that takes you to Lake Vänern, Sweden's largest lake. The cycle path is approximately 640 km long and divided into four stages. If you want to cycle at a leisurely pace, it is sufficient to plan for 3-4 days on each stage. All stages offer nice places to visit, nice restaurants and opportunities to stay the night.

Around Lake Vänern there are magnificent nature experiences and fine accommodation options. In addition, there is a rich cultural life in the cities along Lake Vänern. You can choose to cycle a shorter distance with the family or book a longer cycling holiday around the lake. The Vänerleden runs through beautiful and varied nature and in many places close to the water. Sometimes the trail runs on separate cycle paths and sometimes along minor roads with low-speed traffic. In some sections, the trail is on a dirt road. You can stop at one of Vänern's fine beaches, cozy cafés, well-stocked farm shops and nice restaurants along the way.
