Rusken runt takes you around the beautiful Lake Rusken - known for its rich sport fishing and fine swimming spots. The lake has an area of almost 34 km² and is surrounded by deep forests, fresh air and a landscape full of history.
To the north is Nydala, where the ruins of a 12th-century monastery can still be visited, along with the preserved Nydala Church. To the south you pass Ohs, the site of an old 17th-century ironworks that later became a pulp mill.
Along the way there are crafts, ancient monuments, places to eat, campsites and tourist campsmaking the trail perfect for a full-day tour or a short cycling vacation. With its many bathing areas Rusken rund is as good a choice for families as it is for nature lovers.
