This cycling route has undergone a special certification by the Swedish Transport Agency, which certifies that the path is of high quality, has clear signage and is safe for traffic. There is also a wide range of experiences and services along the trail.
The Skåne Cycle Trail offers a varied cycling adventure through the entire landscape. You'll experience forests, lakes, farmland, coastal stretches and rolling hills - everything that makes Skåne so famous for its nature and culture. Distances are short, and along the way there are plenty of castles, farm shops, vineyards, artisans, cafés and restaurants.
The trail is divided into stages with three sub-trails - 101, 102 and 103 - which together make it possible to cycle in different directions throughout Skåne, from sea to sea. Each stage page has a digital map that can be easily downloaded to your mobile.
Delled 101: Kristianstad-Ängelholm
This northern trail takes you from the Kristianstads Vattenrike Biosphere Reserve in the east, through the open plains of western Skåne, and all the way out to Skälderviken in the west. Here, sea bathing and extensive coastal views await.
Delled 102: Ystad-Båstad
On this trail you meet the more hilly Skåne. You cycle over several of Skåne's ridges - Romeleåsen, Linderödsåsen, Söderåsen and Hallandsåsen - and also reach Skåne's highest point. The views and variety make this one of the most challenging and scenic cycling routes in the landscape.
Delled 103: Lomma-Kristianstad
Here you cycle through the fertile hinterland. In Lund, historic buildings, the cathedral and modern museums await, while the many castles and churches along the way tell of Skåne's rich cultural history. This sub-route offers a mix of culture, history and ever-changing landscapes.
