Colmarþ is a cycling adventure for those who want to experience Kolmården's wild and dramatic nature up close. Kolmården is located in the borderland between Östergötland and Södermanland and is known for its deep forests, fields, mills, mansions and castles. Here, history, culture and nature meet in a unique combination.
The route is designed for gravel road cyclists, bikepackers and adventurous cyclists. It is mostly on low-traffic gravel roads, with some asphalt and technically easy trails. The level of difficulty varies:
On the embankment west of Finspång towards Borggård, the cycling is flat and graveled with a good surface, here a bike with narrower tires and few gears also works. In other parts, the terrain is more hilly, which means that wider tires and more gears are preferable.
This is a trail for those looking for a real bikepacking adventure in one of Sweden's most fascinating natural areas. Colmarþ is developed by Velonavia, which can also provide more information and tips for your cycling.
