Norra Roslagen is a beautiful and varied coastal landscape with cozy small towns and real settlements. Norrtälje is the obvious centerpiece with shops, taverns and cafes, arts, events and museums. Walloon mills with their industrial history are exciting to visit, and in Finsta was born Holy Birgitta - the world's most famous Swedish - in 1303 who died in Rome and was saintly declared by the Pope.
