As in the rest of Småland, there are many forests and lakes in the area, but here are also the sea and Kalmarsund. Off the coast is the island of the Blue Virgin and even further away is Öland. In Nybro there is the Småland specialty glassworks and in Oskarshamn you can walk in the cozy wooden house block above the harbor. Bicycle map The southern Småland coast provides a detailed picture of the cycle paths in the area.

On this bike map are Målilla in the northwest and Oskarshamn on the coast in the east. Further south there is Mönsterås, Blomstermåla and at the bottom of the map page is Nybro. The northern part of Öland with Borgholm, and parts of the Öland Trail, are also included.
