In Öland there is the Great Alvaret, widespread moorland with its very own flora. History is present everywhere, not least through all ancient castles. The island was open to attack and the inhabitants needed to protect themselves. In the middle of the island lies perhaps the most impressive name of Ismanstorp. In Borgholm you can look at the castle ruins and visit Solliden's castle a few kilometers away. Bicycle map Öland gives a detailed picture of the cycling routes on Öland.

The bicycle map covers the whole of Öland and extends from the northern cape with the Långe Erik lighthouse in the north down to Långe Jan in the south. Opposite the Färjestaden on the other side of the strait lies Kalmar with its surroundings.
