At the top of Bohuslän near the border with Norway is the charming summer town of Strömstad. Further south is Tanumshede with its famous rock carvings that are on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Dalsland has a varied landscape with lakes, forests and its own canal which includes the famous aqueduct in Håverud. On the landscape's own cycle route, the Dalsland Trail, you can, among other things, get between places like Ed, Bengtsfors and away to Åmål in the east.
