Sydostleden is one of Sweden's best cycling tourist trails. The landscape is varied, and offers both coastal experiences and forest-rich areas where one clearly knows the soul of nature. The resorts you pass all have their own special character, and offer unforgettable experiences along the way.
Along the Southeast Trail, many experiences await from Växjö's lakeside city pulse to the tranquillity of Åsnen National Park, the Småland countryside around Tingsryd and Urshult, and on to the coast at Karlshamn and Sölvesborg's coastal cycle paths. Kristianstad is home to the Vattenriket biosphere reserve, which offers unique nature experiences.
The Southeast Trail stretches from southern Småland, through Blekinge and down to southeastern Skåne. You can cycle between Växjö and Simrishamn safely and comfortably. For the most part, the trail runs on its own cycle path without car traffic, but on some stretches you cycle in mixed traffic.
On the Öresund trains and Pågatågen trains, you can bring your bike if there is room. More information is available on the Skånetrafiken website.
You can also take a bicycle, including an electric bicycle, on Krösatågen trains, subject to availability. A bicycle ticket is required for the bicycle. Read more on the Länstrafiken Kronoberg website.
Blekingetrafiken allows you to take a bicycle on both trains and archipelago boats, subject to availability. You then buy a bicycle ticket. It is not allowed to bring a bicycle on buses. More information is available on the Blekingetrafiken website.
