Sydkustleden is one of Sweden's most popular coastal cycle routes. It consists of 6 stages and stretches a total of 260 km through southern Skåne, from Simrishamn in the east to Helsingborg in the west. Long sandy beaches, historic sites, charming coastal towns and local food experiences await - a perfect combination of nature and culture.
Along the trail you cycle close to the sea and pass some of Sweden's most beautiful beaches. There are plenty of opportunities to swim and relax, but also to discover local cafés, restaurants and inns. The distances are short, which means that you can experience a lot on each day's stage.
The towns along the trail offer a delightful mix of history, culture and a lively urban feel. In Simrishamn, a picturesque fishing port awaits, in Ystad you can follow in Wallander's footsteps and in Trelleborg visit the museum at Stortorget. Skanör/Falsterbo has long white beaches and a horse show, while Malmö has a big city vibe. In Landskrona you can take a boat to the island of Ven, and in Helsingborg you can visit the Fredriksdal Open Air Museum and Sofiero Castle.
