Between the charming medieval towns of Simrishamn and Ystad, you cycle through open landscapes, past aged rock carvings and over golden rapeseed fields. The nature in this part of Skåne offers a unique flora, an exciting fauna and something new awaits behind almost every bend.

The stage starts in Simrishamn - the charming coastal capital of Österlen, with pastel-colored houses lining cobbled streets and pretty doors hiding flourishing gardens behind wooden planks. On the way to Ystad, you can choose to visit the idyllic fishing villages of Brantevik or Örnahusen, both with roots in the 19th century.

Food is the focus here. Skillinge is famous for its asparagus, Kåseberga smokes its own fish, and both Ystad and Simrishamn have plenty of cozy cafés and restaurants. Kåseberga and Ales stenar are two of Österlen's most visited places - with good reason! Ales stenar, Sweden's largest preserved ancient monument, offers a magical view where the sea meets the sky.

The sea and nature set the tone for this stage. Take a detour to Sandhammaren, one of Sweden's most beautiful beaches with white sand dunes and rich wildlife. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for a refreshing dip!
