There is something special about cold, beautiful winter days. Nature has changed its shape and the colors appear in a calmer color scale. The low-lying sun breaks through a haze of clouds and the air is fresh. It is a special experience to go out with the bike in winter. The weather and temperature can change, but the winter landscape inspires a sense of calm. A calm that we may need more than ever.
This cycling package is perfect for those who want to experience the sparkling Nordic climate by bike. You’ll ride on gravel roads with some paved sections, and the package includes outdoor grilling over an open fire, the chance to take a cold dip followed by a warming sauna, and truly delicious food. Among other things, you’ll enjoy the ”Bauer Menu”—a culinary experience inspired by enchanted forests. In the evening, you’ll sleep soundly in comfortable beds at Hotell Bauergården in idyllic Bunn, between Gränna and Jönköping. You’ll need to be in reasonably good physical shape, dress warmly, and be prepared for changes in the weather. Welcome to a sparkling, steamy, and warming cycling experience on the shores of Lake Vättern!
A lovely and somewhat demanding route with many long slopes past Alboga mill and Kvarnsjöarna, which at the end offers an unbeatable view of idyllic Bunn. How about a cold bath and a warming sauna in the evening? Just a stone's throw from the hotel next to the shore at Lake Bunn is our lake cabin with sauna, changing room and jetty. Then a three-course dinner awaits in the hotel's restaurant.
Today's route takes you along magical rolling country roads, past barns and manor houses. Long downhills and short uphills. The first bit goes straight towards Lake Vättern down the gently sloping road out of Bunn. Minimal traffic, wonderfully curvy and no too tough slopes. After 10.5 km you cross the main road to Gränna, be careful there. You pass Flättinge Gårdscafé (check the opening hours in winter). Explore the magical nature, stop and enjoy local delicacies. The hotel packs a basket with a hearty wrap with Småland ice cube tray, local apple drink and of course hot and delicious coffee & cake.
In the evening, a fantastic dining experience awaits: the Bauer menu. Enjoy carefully selected local produce with hints of game and magical mist. A three-course menu you will remember!
In the morning, you eat breakfast in the hotel's dining room before it's time to travel home. If you wish, you can choose to stay another night and explore more of the hotel's tours in the beautiful winter landscape.

Cancellation or changes can be made no later than 3 pm the day before arrival without charge. Cancellation later or no-show will be charged with the full amount.
