We get some questions about insurance, not least linked to card insurance and cancellation protection. Is it possible to pay for the bike ride via invoice, but still get the benefits of the card insurance? What's the deal? We have tried to sort out the concepts.
Is your card linked to a regular bank account that you use for payments and transfers? Then the card's travel insurance applies in most cases when you pay for the trip from your bank account. Please note that different rules apply to different cards, for example whether people other than family members can be covered by the insurance and how much of the trip must be paid for in a certain way for the card's travel insurance to apply.
This mainly applies when the card is linked to your bank account:
- Payment from a bank account is counted as a card payment
- Payment with Swish is counted as a card payment
Here you see examples from some banks. We reserve the right to make any changes.
