The Heights of Värmland

You who love nature, cycling and a proper view will enjoy this three-day bike package in northern Värmland. Deep forests, fresh air and a varied terrain with many beautiful lakes. We are talking about a location at 630 meters above sea level, and you will hike the last stretch up on Värmland's highest mountain which is even higher…

Here you will get to know the unspoiled nature of the landscape with its pebble ridges and waterfalls during the day trips. Evenings are spent at the comfortable hotel where you can eat well and gather strength for tomorrow's cycling. Until midsummer, you will receive a breakfast package, after which breakfast is served in the restaurant that opens at midsummer.

Långbergets Sporthotell is located on a mountain top so it is steep when you go "home" after the bike rides. You who rent a bicycle can also borrow a bicycle holder for a towbar. Then you can choose to just cycle in the valley or by the lakes and take the car down and avoid the precipice.

Day 1 - Arrival at Långbergets Sporthotell

You check into comfortable double rooms at Långbergets Sporthotell. The hotel is 630 m high and offers great views, exciting activities and great nature experiences for the whole family.

Långberget is surrounded by "endless" areas of forest, mountains and lakes waiting for a visit. Here you have the opportunity to explore northern Värmland's unspoilt nature with one of the hotel's experienced guides or on your own.

Day 2 - Discover the rolling stone sauce Egga

You start the day with a good breakfast and then you cycle to today's goal which is the pebble ridge Egga. It is a long pebble ridge that extends into Lake Tåsjön on the border to Dalarna, and is a remnant from the time when Sweden was covered by inland ice.

Incredible nature experiences are promised during the journey, which is somewhat steep. After today's bike ride, you can relax in the hotel's sauna or maybe play some table tennis or billiards.

Day 3 - Cycle to Digerfallet and Värmland's highest peak

Today's bike ride goes to Digerfall (waterfall) and to Värmland's highest peak with a view tower - Granberget 703 meters above sea level. The route is 50 km round trip (Granberget only 32 km).

The view from the tower at the top of Granberget is miles across forests, lakes and mountains in Värmland, Dalarna and Hedmark county in Norway. It is Värmland's highest mountain with a peak of 700.5 meters above sea level. Here you are above the forest border, but below the tree line why mountain forest grows here. To get up to the view tower you make a hike of about 2.5 km (medium hike).

At the waterfall of Tåsan's old power station is the Digerfall, a waterfall where the surrounding forest is old and the humidity is high. The waterfall is of impressive dimensions. In connection with the case, Tåsan has carved out a kilometer-long ravine with steep falls.

Day 4 - Breakfast and Departure
