Follow the light north along the Midnight Sun Route, a cycling trip through the nature of Västerbotten and on into northern Norway. Here, 1,200 kilometers of wild and magnificent nature await, but you choose how far you want to cycle. The package gives you a comfortable start and end to your trip. The two nights at the beginning and end are included, while you plan your own overnight stays along the way. This allows you to easily tailor your own itinerary according to your time, pace, and preferences.
Your trip begins with an overnight stay at Granö Beckasin, beautifully situated by the Ume River. A tasty dinner and a good night's sleep in a quiet environment await you. For those who come with their own car, there is a safe long-term parking lot at the hotel.
After breakfast, start your cycling adventure along Midnight Sun Route - a fascinating journey by bike from Sweden to Norway, through forests and over mountains. You cycle on your own, but with the security of knowing that the route is planned in reasonably long day stages with overnight stops along the way.
You can leave your larger luggage safely at the hotel during the tour. Before the start, you will receive personal advice from our cycling expert with tips on equipment, safety and arrangements that suit you.
When you return from your adventure, another overnight stay at Granö Beckasin, dinner, breakfast the next morning awaits you. You can also book a private transfer for you and your bike between Umeå Airport and Granö Beckasin. A convenient overall solution for you as a cyclist.
A Midnight Sun Route T-shirt is included in the package. Anyone who cycles at least 1,000 km of the route in the same year and crosses the Arctic Circle will have the opportunity to buy a special edition of Midnight Sun Randonnée sweater.
Good to know:
- The first and last night are included in the package. You book the other nights yourself.
- You cycle on your own - own bike and basic equipment required.
- The trail is challenging at times and passes through sparsely populated areas.
- Overnight accommodation is available along the route, as suggested by the organizer.

Getting Here
For those who prefer to take their own car, it is possible to drive all the way to Umeå. The roads are well signposted, and at Granö Beckasin there is parking available while you cycle.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations or changes can be made at least 3 days before arrival free of charge. If canceled later or in case of no-show, the full amount will be charged.
