The small village of Rörbäcksnäs is home to a highly popular trail cycling area, considered by many to be the best in Sweden. Located west of Sälen on the border with Norway, the area offers experiences beyond the ordinary, with fantastic cycling on fine and well-marked trails through wilderness and miles of forests.
Unlike more commercial cycling areas, Rörbäcksnäs offers a more relaxed and natural cycling experience, perfect for those who want to enjoy the tranquility of nature. The trails in Rörbäcksnäs are often referred to as Sweden's best singletracks. You'll stay comfortably at Olarsgården Hotel in Sälen and enjoy well-composed dinners. During the day you cycle on soft, fast coniferous trails that offer a great flow without too many technical obstacles. After the day's cycling, you can catch up and freshen up in your room. Maybe round off the day with a sauna before dinner.
The area offers a wide range of trails, from easy, family-friendly routes to more challenging, technical trails with roots and rocks. Therefore, this cycling package is suitable for both experienced cyclists and beginners who want to experience something new.
The price of the package is lower between June 1-14 and during the month of September (3,950 SEK/person and accommodation in a double room).

Day 1 - Arrival at the mountain hotel Olarsgården
Check in at the charming mountain hotel Olarsgården. The hotel is located just 500 meters from Sälfjällstorget, which is the heart of Lindvallen, Sälen.
Enjoy a comfortable room and dinner at Restaurant Elgen. Enjoy the tranquility and the well-prepared food. Now your cycling adventure begins.
Day 2 - Kaluga Pass - flowy loop with lots of singletrack
After breakfast, you can start exploring the trails in Rörbäcksnäs. Your rental bike can be picked up at More Activities at the start of the trail, and there you will get a short briefing of the bike. If you are looking for easier trails, you can try Siktån, Byrundan or Näsingen.
For intermediate cyclists, we recommend the Kaluga Pass (15 km), a flowy loop with lots of singletrack. The trail first follows Byrundan before turning into a narrow path and then gravel road, to connect to the common trail east of the village. After that, several kilometers of world-class singletrack await. After crossing the road towards Torgås, the trail turns north, passes Siktån and continues on a new path. At Janishögen, a challenging uphill awaits and a technical descent that leads back via Vallsjörundan. Is this Sweden's best cycling loop?
After the day's cycling adventure, you can relax with a sauna, good food and enjoy the tranquility of the hotel.
Day 3 - Vallsjörundan - a fun and varied loop in top class
Today, more cycling awaits with trails that wind through troll forest, mountain moors and open views. If you are looking for a slightly more advanced loop, we recommend Vallsjörundan (32 km).
The trail starts on the electric trail and follows a varied mix of singletrack and gravel roads that connect to the common trail east of the village. After crossing the road towards Torgås, it continues along a narrow ridge high above Vallsjön on an exciting path. A rocky and technical section leads out onto the gravel road towards Löten, where a short recovery is followed by more singletrack. The last part offers a tough climb up to Kvarnberget and ends with a technical trail around Medskogstjärn. A fun and varied loop in top class!
Dinner awaits at the hotel, and perhaps an After Bike with cold beer from Sälens Fjällbryggeri.
Day 4 - Time to go home
After breakfast, it's time to check out and plan your journey home.
If you wish, you can choose to stay another night and end your stay with dinner at the hotel.

Cancellation or changes can be made no later than 3 pm the day before arrival without charge. Cancellation later or no-show will be charged with the full amount.
