Kungsgården Långvind is a hotel beautifully located in an enriched agricultural environment from the Swedish great power era. Here you are close to the sea and to lightly cycled and beautiful trails along the coast and to fabulous Hälsingegårds, which are included in UNESCO's list of inescapable things.

The owners of Kungsgården Långvind have designed a number of exciting and fun bicycle packages themselves, so that you as a guest can find all the strawberry places along the way. You live in one of Långvindsbruk's oldest buildings, which were previously homes for the mill's blacksmiths, or in Österhuset. There are six spacious and beautifully decorated rooms with their own shower and toilet. You sleep in comfortable beds and the bright rooms, all of which have large TVs, blinds and mosquito nets. In the room - or in the Hall - you can sink into a comfortable armchair or armchair - and look out over, among other things, Långvind's stream.

At the hotel you have access to free wireless broadband connection (wifi), free coffee / tea with cakes, a restaurant with full rights, Kungsgården Långvind Food & beverage, only open to residents. In the morning, breakfast with a golden edge is included, 2019 named Sweden's second best breakfast. Within walking distance of the hotel you will find a charming mill chapel, a culturally protected mansion, a delightful small mill museum, a blast furnace ruin and other remains from the ironworks, founded in 1687 when Sweden was a great power. Pets are welcome for a small fee.

Day 1 - Skärså and Norrala

Kungsgården Långvind, Enånger

Upon arrival at the hotel, we recommend a nice bike ride south that goes to the genuine fishing village Skärså where you can enjoy a good fish meal for lunch at restaurant Albertina or at Skärså Rökeri. There is also a fish museum, a glass cabin and sales of handicrafts and smoked fish. The host couple is happy to assist with tips on current flea markets and strawberry places nearby.

On the way home you will pass Norrala, where the village's old church and unique forge are self-evident attractions, before departing on a forest road and cycling home to the hotel. Once back home you can take a bike ride down to the sea in Långvind's leisure area and find a private small bathing bay and just enjoy the coolness of the sea. There is also the opportunity to discover the old working environment that is well preserved.

Day 2 - World Heritage farm in Söderala

In the morning, the host couple serves their breakfast with a golden edge from a rich buffet. Today's bike ride leads to one of the Hälsinge farms that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List: the farm Erik-Anders in Asta in Söderdala parish. It is a stately farm, filled with unbroken traditions and living stories of pride, mystery, romance, luxury and hard work. The farm tells a story about an era in Hälsingland when fertile lands and rich forests created wealth that made it possible to build and decorate houses in a way that is unparalleled in any other part of the country - yes, maybe not even in Worldwide. Here you will also find a memorial room for the jazz musician Jan Johansson, a furniture exhibition and a shop with new and old. During the summer, you can see the beautiful garden, recreated from what it looked like in 1920, and enjoy the farm café's organic coffee and home-baked bread.

Once back home, you are welcome to settle down in the family room and provide yourself with cozy afternoon coffee after the end of the tour. Maybe read a book or play some social games.

Day 3 - Enånger and Borka

Breakfast and lunch to go
about 40 km

After a tasty breakfast, there is a lot for the bike enthusiast to discover. A beautiful trip that can end the stay goes north to Enånger and on to the fishing village Borka. Here you can have lunch at the restaurant Borka Brygga and visit its museums.
On the way home there is a nice fish stall and several flea markets, including the well-visited Långloppis at Enångers bygdegård.

Then it's time to go home. If you want to stay an extra night, we recommend you cycle the first stage of the classic pilgrimage route Stråsjöleden. It will be a really nice nature and cultural experience with fantastic swimming opportunities along the way.

Cycle paths meant long transport distances, sometimes you had to walk with the bicycle. Not good.

Very good. Super nice host couple who engaged in suggesting suitable tours for us, and what you could explore on the way. In the evening we were served great food during a nice presentation by the host, then we slept well in a cosy, fresh, cozy room. Highly recommended.

Lovely place and very good service with the host couple doing the ”little extra” that means so much. ☺️
