This is the bike package for you who want to discover Fårö and the beautiful northern part of Gotland, the fantastic nature and the mysterious rauks. Gotland is Sweden's largest island with a coastline of almost 800 km. The island's history goes way back in time and in Visby, narrow cobbled streets, pack houses and church ruins testify to bygone times. Here, cycling is easy, the landscape flat and the sea ever present.

During your journey to Fårö, you'll pass by attractions such as Lummelunda Caves and Krusmyntagården. Be sure not to miss the chance to take a refreshing dip in the stunning "Blue Lagoon" along the way.

The cycling vacation starts and ends with a night at Best Western Solhem Hotel in Visby. You pick up the bikes at Visby Hyrcykel, at Österport (Ringmuren). Some routes are busier during the high season, especially near the larger towns.

It is possible to shorten the cycling package if you do not want to cycle so many days. In this case, enter your preferences in the booking form.

Once you've settled in, it's time to explore the World Heritage Site of Visby. The city is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Sweden and offers a unique atmosphere with its narrow alleys, ruins, churches, and the mighty ring wall. There are lovely parks to relax in, and the sea, right next to the city, invites you to take a swim. Take a walk along the beach promenade and enjoy a spectacular sunset before strolling into the city to enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the cozy restaurants.

Almedalen - Gotland cycle package

After indulging in a delicious breakfast buffet, the adventure begins. The bike tour heads north from Visby, with the ring wall on your right and the sea on your left. Just at the beginning, you pass by Almedalen Park, the center of the annual political week. On the way, you'll also come across Snäckgärdsbadet, a picturesque spot with beautiful beaches and piers. While you're there, don't miss the chance to stop at Krusmyntagården for a coffee break and a leisurely stroll through the herb garden.

Located about 13 km north of Visby, Lummelundagrottan is a must-visit destination. You can take a guided tour and marvel at the large cave chambers with their mirror-like lakes, fascinating fossils, and stunning stalactites and stalagmites. The waterfall at the entrance of the cave was used as a source of power for a long time. Over the centuries, the site has been home to a grain mill, water saw, and even a complete ironworks. Be sure to take a moment to admire the impressive water wheel and the historic buildings.

Take a moment to sit down at a beautiful spot by the sea and enjoy your packed lunch. If you feel energized, you can take an extra tour of about 15 km to Häftingsklint and then to Hagvards and Medebys Raukar. Better bikes would have helped. The 7 geared women's bikes that my partner and I were given could have been hybrid bikes. The environment on Gotland was fantastic.

The whole route was super cool! Nothing to add beside of some hotels were not aware what was i allowed to have and not! Regarding the dinner in Slite, they were asking me if i was allowed to have a 2 course meal and if I drinks were included. I had no idea!

We had a lovely trip around Nordgotlsnd - including Fårö. Everywhere we met nice and friendly people - young and a little older. We enjoyed the hospitality and the lovely nature. And we had good weather except for the last day back to Visby. Perhaps the nature of the gravel could be described a little better.

I followed the Gotlandsleden all the time. Your km indications are not precise. The last day from Slive via Roma to Visby is 90 km. You should state this in your tour description, so you can better choose the route. The hotel in Visby closes the reception at 22. I arrived with the ferry at 23 and could not get in, as you had not given me either phone number or e-mail address. The hotel apologized. Incidentally, a beautiful trip.

We loved our week-long bike trip in north Gotland. The route, the accommodations and the meals provided were all wonderful! The north Gotland countryside is ideal for bike touring! The route directions provided were not adequate at several points but the availability of GPS remedied those situations. The only part of our biking experience that we felt needed to be improved was the bike itself. The Trek Santiago is a workhorse of a bike but it is designed for daily commutes in an urban setting. It's weight and gearing are not well-suited to the distances and varied terrain of bike touring. If I were planning this trip again, I would insist on knowing the specific type of bike that would be provided and only commit if a true touring bike were made available.

We were very happy with everything. Even the weather was on our side. Recommend Gotland to everyone we know 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️

The north tour was well organized. Find length of daily tours. Lodging Visby and Sudersand top. Hostel Lärbo not for people our age (60.63). Food just pizza. Highlight Sheepdog !! Lamb grill evening with a fantastic buffet. So the 2nd dinner was as per our choice. Camping Åminne a challenge but extremely nice service for breakfast and dinner in the evening sun with cooked salmon. I do recommend the tour with fantastic sites along the sea.
Popular with our customers. This tour is among the most booked via Sweden by Bike. Often sells out in high season.
This is a self-guided intermediate-level bicycle tour. The cycling takes place on both asphalt and gravel in a relatively safe traffic environment. e-bike and luggage delivery is available.
