Are you looking for hotels in the heart of Sweden? PerOlofGården is located in the beautiful Bergslagen on the border with Sweden's southernmost primeval forests, Tiveden and Tylö. The hotel is located in the middle of Askersund and Hallsberg, surrounded by small beautiful lakes. There is a large garden with its own bathing area, large terrace and also a dance course for various events.
Historic environment with comfort and service
PerOlofGården is a historic building - dating back to 1790 - which offers comfortable rooms where new meets old and gives a sense of calm and harmony. All rooms are equipped with shower / WC. The hotel also has conference rooms that provide a perfect environment for meetings without interruptions. All services such as transport, catering and accommodation can be arranged to facilitate the visit. The hotel also has a spacious banquet hall for groups with seating for up to 90 people.
The "Brasan" restaurant has a wonderful view of the lake and serves good, well-prepared food every evening. During weekdays, the day's dishes are offered, and on weekends, guests can choose freely from the menu. Tables must be booked in advance.
Loads of outdoor activities all year round
At PerOlofGården every season has its charm and the outdoor activities dominate all year round. In the summer, cycling, canoeing, horseback riding and hiking are the most popular activities, and during the long winter months, guests can warm themselves to the crackling fire after today's ski trip.
During the cycling season, there are several bike paths to discover in the area, both for the more adventurous mountain biker, but also for the cyclist who would rather stick to the slightly more easily cycled roads. The trails pass through miles of forests with small glittering lakes and hilly, curvy dirt roads. Bicycles are available for rent on site.
The facility is certified by Bergslagen Cycling, and meets the Dutch Bicycle Association's basic requirements for bicycle-friendly accommodation. This means, among other things, that you can lock your bike overnight, wash your bike and get clear and good information about bike trails in the immediate area.
