Rönneshytta Loop is a cycling experience with speed, variety and history. Fast sandy paths, forest roads and gravel sections await here in a round that suits both those who want to train and those who want to discover new places.

The trail is less hilly than in Kilsbergen, and takes you through historically interesting mining areas and culturally embossed land where the traces of the past are still evident. As an added bonus, there is a technical cycling track at Solberga IP, just outside Askersund. Here, both young and old can practice balance and technique on the bike in a fun and safe environment.

    Rönneshytta department store

The starting point is the legendary Varuhuset in Rönneshytta. On the surface, it may look like an ordinary store, but it has almost everything you can imagine: groceries, gear, bike accessories and much more. A perfect place to buy the last thing for the trip or replenish your energy when you return.

    Swimming area lake Multen

Along the trail you pass the remarkable site of Hopa-Petters Öltunna. Here is an old cold spring where there was once a buried oak barrel. Who Hopa-Petter really was is shrouded in mystery, but the place has become part of the history of the area and is an obvious stop for curious cyclists.

    Spring of the trinity

Spånbrokällan is an old sacrificial spring that has been a gathering place for the villagers for generations, especially at Whitsun and Midsummer. In the past, the roads here could be filled with people coming to celebrate. Today it's a quiet place to rest for a while, but also one of the nicest stretches of path along the trail - a winding path that turns into wide hard-packed sand and challenges the legs at the end.
