Enköping is located on the Enköping river and not far from Lake Mälaren. With 24 parks to visit, it's no wonder it's known as the 'city of parks'. The area around Enköping has become known for its rich variety of food artisans, farm shops, bakeries, small-scale farms and rural accommodation. Here you will find an area with the poetic sounding name Fjärdhundraland.
There are a lot of small roads that have been there since ancient times, lined with rune stones, small medieval churches, cafes and farm shops. In short, a paradise for us who like to discover and cycle. Fjärdhundralandsleden goes between Fjärdhundra and Örsundsbro, on nice roads with good opportunities for breaks for coffee, detours or a dip. You are also close to several other destinations so you can use the trail as a base for your own route. There are also good accommodation facilities where you can store your bike safely overnight.

During the period April-October, you can take your bike on regional buses, subject to availability, with a maximum of two per bus. On the Upptåget train you can also bring your bike on board, maximum 6 bikes per train, but not during rush hour. Bicycle is not allowed on bus lines 801, 677, 774, 110, 111, 115 and UL express buses. You can't take a bike on the city buses in Uppland.read more here.
If you want to cycle to Enköping and Fjärdhundraland, you can choose the Mälardalsleden cycle path. It goes around Lake Mälaren. Note that the Mälardalsleden goes partly along a busy highway.
