Between two lakes, in the middle of the forest, lies Årås Säteri with its historic gardens. Here, tranquillity and activity meet - a place where both young and old can enjoy nature. Several hiking and biking trails start from the estate, and in the 18th-century garden there is both a nature playground and a boules court for all ages.
In this package, a cycling experience awaits in the quiet and scenic Änglagårdsbygden. You stay at the charming Trädgårdshotellet with seven unique double rooms. All rooms have a private bathroom Here you will find soothing views, historic environments and small dirt roads that wind through the landscape that inspired Colin Nutley to the Änglagårds films. You can choose between shorter routes with time for breaks and nature experiences, or longer routes. The hotel is happy to help with suggestions.
You arrive at the beautiful Årås Säteri and check in at the charming Trädgårdshotellet. Upon arrival, a deli tray filled with goodies awaits you - perfect to enjoy in the garden or in your room.
When you feel ready, cycling along Änglaleden awaits. You cycle on small country roads, village roads and forest roads through open landscapes and villages. Back at the hotel, dinner and relaxation await.
After a good breakfast, you will be given a well-stocked packed lunch. Today's cycling adventure takes you on the Änglagård tour through the landscape that inspired Colin Nutley to make the Änglagård films. You'll cycle through beech forests, along small dirt roads and through quiet villages where time seems to stand still.
The tour is challenging and estimated to take 4-5 hours, but rewards you with forest scents, historical settings and views worth remembering. When you return, a barbecue package awaits with hamburgers that you grill yourself in our garden. A lovely evening with the scent of summer and glow.
Your stay ends with a final breakfast in peace and quiet. Then it's time to say goodbye to the Garden Hotel and travel back to your hometown, filled with new impressions of the beautiful landscape.
Travel
To get to Årås Säteri & Trädgårdar you need your own car. If you travel with Västtrafik, it is possible to bring a bicycle on board and cycle the last bit from Mullsjö station (takes about 1 hour).
Booking Information
Payment is made on site upon arrival. The property will send you a confirmation with all practical information for your stay.
Cancellation or changes can be made no later than 3 pm the day before arrival without charge. Cancellation later or no-show will be charged with the full amount.
