In the middle of the magnificent nature of Bergslagen, Wilderness Lodge is located in the Malingsbo-Kloten nature reserve. From Wilderness Lodge start and end (4 independent) cycling trails. A perfect base camp if you want to cycle one bike trail per day. It is an old mill area with a tradition of forges and smelters from the 17th century. Today, the Malingsbo-Kloten area is a nature reserve with lots of forest and water. There are a number of fine old forest roads that are ideal for cycling tours with both mountain bikes and regular bikes.
At Wilderness Lodge you have all the opportunities to go on adventures in the wilderness and various outdoor activities all year round.. You can rent canoes (how about a night kayak?), Kayaks, rowing boats and of course bicycles. Those who are interested in the local wildlife can join both beaver and elk safaris. Nearby are three lakes with fishing waters and opportunities for swimming. There is camping equipment for rent and opportunities for hiking.
You must stock up on your own before your visit to the Västmanland wilderness. Wilderness Lodge offers a refrigerator, a kitchen and a dining area. The accommodation is spacious and has wonderful views of nature while being small and familiar. There are double rooms, triple rooms, quadruple rooms and a family room. Breakfast, bed linen and towels are available as an option.
