Nestled in the heart of Bergslagen’s magnificent natural landscape lies Wilderness Lodge in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve. From Wilderness Lodge is the starting and ending point (4 independent routes) for bike trails. It’s the perfect base camp if you want to bike one trail per day. These are old industrial areas with a tradition of blacksmith shops and smelting houses dating back to the 17th century. Today, the Malingsbo-Kloten area is a nature reserve with plenty of forests and water. There are many beautiful old forest roads here that are ideal for bike rides on both mountain bikes and regular bikes.
On Wilderness Lodge There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy wilderness adventures and various outdoor activities year-round. You can rent canoes (how about a night kayak?), Kayaks, rowing boats and of course bicycles. Those who are interested in the local wildlife can join both beaver and elk safaris. Nearby are three lakes with fishing waters and opportunities for swimming. There is camping equipment for rent and opportunities for hiking.
You must bring your own supplies before visiting the Västmanland wilderness. At Wilderness Lodge A refrigerator, kitchen, and dining area are available. The accommodation is spacious and offers wonderful views of the natural surroundings, while still being small and cozy. There are double rooms, triple rooms, quadruple rooms, and a family room. Breakfast, bed linens, and towels are available as optional extras.
