Strandleden is a scenic cycle route in Södermanland, which connects Eskilstuna and Strängnäs through a rich cultural and natural landscape. Here you cycle through a landscape characterized by mansions, castles, oak groves, forests, lakes and rolling farmland.

The trail passes Beach Golf, where you can stop for coffee, dinner or overnight, which also makes the place a good base for other cycling excursions in the area. You can choose to start in Eskilstuna, Strängnäs or Strand, and the trail provides several options:

  • Bicycling between Eskilstuna and Strängnäs on the north or south side of the Sörfjärden
  • Choose to cycle around the whole of Sörfjärden to get back to your starting point

From Strängnäs, the trail starts from Regementsgatan, past villas from the 1920s, through Campus and Eldsund towards Vansö. From Eskilstuna you start in the city and cycle via Sundbyholm towards Jäder and on to Strand, where you can continue around Sörfjärden via Vansö. Approx. 90% asphalt, 10% gravel.
