A trip to Rutvallen is an excellent excursion destination. Rutvallsleden (trail no. 54) starts at Västvallen and begins with a scenic cycle along the shore of Lake Lofssjön. Then the trail turns into a wide gravel road leading up to the mountain - here a steep climb awaits.
The gravel road soon ends in a wide trail that winds through magnificent old forest. The view is beautiful all the way to Rutvallen, where you are rewarded with both views and a nice place to take a break. Take the opportunity to enjoy a coffee break. Back towards Västvallen awaits wonderful cycling along the same route as you came. Along Lofssjön there are several shelters and barbecue areas, perfect for an extra stop on the way home.
