A manageable day ride with time for stops along the way. It suits you who want calm cycling. The ride varies between asphalt and gravel. The elevation is gentle.
A bike ride that offers scenic and varied cycling around Råbelövssjön. The entire tour goes on a car-free cycle path and most of the time it is flat and easy to cycle.
Along the eastern side of the lake, there are three nice bathing areas with piers and the opportunity to take a refreshing swim or sit on the green grass.

You cycle on cycle paths out of the city. Just south of Balsby, you need to cross the road to continue along the cycle path on the embankment to the north. You cycle along the eastern side of Råbelövssjön. In Balsby, Österslöv and Ekestad there are bathing places that are nice to stop for a swim.
In Österslöv you will find the hotel and restaurant Bykrogen with a rural and rustic environment. There is also a swimming area and the summer café Gaston & Vega. A vegan garden café with homemade cakes.
Cycle north along the lake to idyllic Ekestad. Here the tour goes through apple orchards and pastures. Continue along the western side of the lake, with Balsberget on one side and the sparkling lake on the other. The nature reserve has several marked hiking trails. At the top of the mountain you have a view for miles. There is also one of Skåne's largest caves. The cave is an important hibernation site for several bat species.
When you get south of the lake, it is time to cross Arkelstorpsvägen again. If you feel like a little detour with an extra golden edge, the restaurant Hemma på Sörgården is located just south of Balsby. It is popular to eat here so don't forget to book well in advance of your visit. Feel free to extend the tour with an overnight stay at Bicycle-friendly accommodation.
