Hjortrundan winds its way along gravel roads through magical forests where deer thrive. Especially in the evening, you have a great chance of meeting red deer, and if you want to experience something really powerful, you can cycle here at dusk during September-October, when the roar of the rut echoes through the forest.

The red deer is Scandinavia's largest cervid, and meeting a herd in the forest is an experience that stays with you for a long time.
