From Skutberget, the trail continues towards Karlstad, but you can choose to take a detour to Hammarö before reaching the center. Here, nice bike paths, Marieberg's beach meadows with bird towers and rest areas along the river await.
In Skoghall you can have a coffee at Café Klarälven and continue towards Lillängshamnen, where the fish smokehouse offers freshly smoked fish and summery boating. If you want to stay longer, First Camp Mörudden is perfect for swimming, food and overnight stays. Don't miss the Archipelago Museum and Hammarö Church, with beautiful views of Lake Vänern.
Back in Karlstad, the trail follows the water towards the Inner Harbor, where restaurants, cafés and boat life create a real summer feeling. Stop at Sandgrund Lars Lerin and Värmlands Museum, two of the city's premier cultural experiences. Karlstad is a perfect start or end point for your trip. Close to water everywhere, with plenty of accommodation, swimming spots and an archipelago feel in the middle of the city.
