Please note that today's stage includes about 6 km of cycling along a busy road. The first 3 km are along the same road back out of Arboga. Storgården's pantry & café is open on selected summer days - a very nice place for a break.

The trail continues through agricultural landscapes with well-kept farms. After about 14 km, the busiest part of the stage awaits: a 6 km stretch where the speed limit is 70-80 km/h. Especially during rush hour, you can expect some car traffic.

Then the road changes back to quieter country roads and a bit of gravel road before you reach Köping. There are several restaurants in the center. A popular stop is Konditori Bivur, known from the movie The cake general. Feel free to buy something good from there and cycle along the canal to the inner harbor for a break. Along the way you will also pass Skeppshandelns stenugnsbageri and Köpings museum. For overnight stays there is, among other things, Best Western Hotel Scheele.

Out of Köping, the trail follows pedestrian and cycle paths along the canal and through residential areas, before turning into a road again. Today's destination is Strömsholm - a real gem. Here is the Strömsholm Riding School, one of Sweden's most important centers for equestrian sports. The business dates back to 1621, when a stud farm was founded to supply the army with horses.

Strömsholm Castle is a magnificent baroque castle, beautifully situated on an islet in the flowing Kolbäcksån river. The castle is surrounded by an impressive park and offers guided tours during the summer. It is also a popular venue for weddings. For overnight stays and food, Strömsholm's market center "Markan" is the natural gathering place that is open all year round. A couple of kilometers away by bike is Borgåsund's harbor & inn, beautifully situated by the water - a perfect place for dinner with a view of the sunset. Here also begins Strömsholm's canal, one of Sweden's longest, which extends a full 110 km up to Smedjebacken.
