The route on your phone
Become a member to use the route with your phone. You can use the app, or open the GPX file in another map app or GPS device.
The stage between Alingsås and Vårgårda takes you through a vibrant Västergötland landscape with forests, river environments and open farmland. You cycle on quiet gravel roads and small country roads, often with Säveån as your companion.
Along the way you will pass the Yxnås nature reserve, the bathing area at Storsjöstrand and several small villages with a genuine rural feel. The last kilometers go through peaceful forest before you reach Vårgårda. There are hotels, restaurants and good communications by train and bus. A natural place to pause or spend the night before the next stage.
