Gamla Frun's road between Falun and Grycksbo offers both history and scenic views. The road is named after Augusta Munktell, known as "Gamla Frun" at Grycksbo Bruk. She ran the mill with an iron fist and is remembered for closing the road to through traffic and charging those who wanted to pass.
The trail is reasonably hilly and has a relatively good gravel pavement, making it easily accessible to most cyclists. In parts, the route runs along the beautiful Lake Grycken, where you can enjoy the tranquillity and the surrounding forest landscape.
