This cycling route has undergone a special certification by the Swedish Transport Agency, which certifies that the path is of high quality, has clear signage and is safe for traffic. There is also a wide range of experiences and services along the trail.
The charming town of Tranemo is located by Lake Tranemo in a scenic setting. Here you will find a wide range of accommodation, restaurants and grocery stores. The area also offers fishing and nice swimming spots.
From Tranemo to Ambjörnarp, the cycle path follows an old railway embankment. South of Ambjörnarp, the trail meanders on low-traffic country roads of both asphalt and gravel, creating a scenic and varied cycling. Note that this stretch may not be optimal for small children, despite the quiet roads. In Ambjörnarp, you can try dressage cycling on the old railroad to Sjötofta. Once in Sjötofta, you can visit an impressive burial ground with three judges' rings. There is also Hembygdsparken, a pleasant picnic area with benches, tables and barbecue facilities.
About 12 kilometers from Sjötofta you reach Håcksvik, where you can stop for flea market, mini golf and a cozy café. Don't miss the chance to take a dip in Skäremosjön before cycling further east towards Skyarp. Here you will find Påarps Gård, a residential facility in a soothing and beautiful environment. Further south you pass Gammalsjö mill and Kummeludden's burial ground, which is located in a light beech forest. Take a break at one of the small paths along the lakeshore and enjoy the fantastic view of Fegen, where the wings of history are reminiscent. Your journey continues to the village of Kalv, where there are several accommodation options for those planning to stay overnight in the area. Approx 85% asphalt, 15% gravel.
