In Ulricehamn, which is named after Queen Ulrika Eleonora, lies Skotteksgården on Lake Åsunden. A major battle between the Swedes and the Danes took place on the lake’s ice one winter day in the 16th century, but today it’s all about family camping and sunny days on the beach. Skotteksgården is the perfect place to stay for those who are traveling by bike and enjoy a wide range of activities in scenic surroundings, while still being close to the city.

Here you can swim on your own beach, go out on the camping dock and admire the view, go canoeing, fishing or maybe play beach volleyball when the spirit falls. There is a cycle tour that runs around Åsunden and includes views found in Birgit Th Sparre's novels about the farms around the lake. You can also learn a little more about the battle on the ice of Åsunden. There is also a golf course nearby.
