Nynäsleden is a cycle path that runs from the City Hall in central Stockholm to the tourist office in Nynäshamn. The trail takes you through Södertörn, the peninsula south of Stockholm between Södertälje, Nynäshamn and Dalarö. Here awaits a varied cycling experience with historic landscapes, rune stones, bathing lakes and scenic surroundings.
If you start in Stockholm, the route goes via Gamla stan, Fjällgatan, Vita Bergen on Södermalm and on past Globen and Gamla Enskede. Then the trail continues south towards Drevviken (with several swimming spots), Lissma, Ådran, Västerby, Grödby, Väggarö, Ösmo, Söderby and Norsbol before reaching Nynäshamn on the coast of the Baltic Sea.
The trail is marked with green signs, and from Tungelsta and south it is co-signed with the Coastal Line (red signage). The route and signs are produced by the Swedish Cycling Society.
Detour to Utö: From Nynäshamn you can take the Waxholm boat to Ålö (bicycle subject to availability) and cycle on to Utö. There are hostels for overnight stays. On the way back you can take the Waxholm boat from Gruvbryggan to Årsta pier on the mainland.
