Starting in Sweden’s vibrant capital, Stockholm, this route captivates with its contrasts between urban life and the slower pace of the countryside. Stockholm, with its blend of the historic Old Town, modern architecture, and the archipelago, serves as the cultural and aesthetic foundation for the journey.
Continue south and you’ll soon arrive in picturesque Trosa, with its beautiful wooden houses and charming alleyways. Afterward, be sure to take a detour to Nyköping—one of Sweden’s oldest cities. The Sörmland landscape opens up, and soon you’ll arrive in Katrineholm, a city that serves as a major railway hub in Sweden. This stage ends in Gålsjö in the province of Närke, with its forests, lakes, and traditional red cottages.
