The Sweden Trail is marked with green signs along the road.

From Sweden's vibrant capital, Stockholm, starts a route that amazes with its contrasts between urban lifestyle and the slower pace of the countryside. Stockholm, with its combination of historic old town, modern architecture and archipelago, provides a cultural and aesthetic base for the journey. Continuing south, the landscape opens up as you approach Katrineholm, a town often described as the 'heart of Sörmland' due to its strategic location. This area offers green forests, lakes and traditional red cottages, making the cycling journey both relaxing and picturesque. Further towards Gålsjö, even deeper forests are experienced and the countryside becomes denser, offering opportunities to dive deep into Sweden's natural beauty.
