Årås Säteri & Trädgårdar

Årås Säteri & Trädgårdar boasts on the shores of Tidan, between lakes Jogen and Vållern, and is beautifully nestled among meadows and quiet country roads.

Here you can choose to stay in the hostel houses Mejeriet or Drängstugan with charmingly decorated rooms, each decorated from different eras, named after former owners and servants at Årås Säteri. The garden hotel is newly renovated with traditional building care. Here you stay with a bathroom in the room and made beds.

Enjoy supper at the BBQ
If you want to prepare a meal in the open air, there is a barbecue hut available for guests at Tidan's beach. During the summer, breakfast is served in the large historic Säteri building. To maximize the nature experience, it is possible to pre-book canoes and the hiking trail Vildmarksleden starts from Årås. Buy a fishing license and enjoy fishing in Lake Jogen where both pike and perch live.

Cycle along the stunningly beautiful Ängelaleden
Starting from Årås Säteri & Trädgårdar, the Änglaleden trail winds its way, named after the famous Änglagårds films that were shot in the area. The bike trail is 37 km long and winds through a varied and scenic landscape. A kilometer walk from the hostel there is a lovely bathing lake and if you want to rent bikes, it is possible to pre-book this.

Number of beds: There are 50 beds in total, divided into double rooms, family rooms, 4-bed rooms and 2-bed rooms. The hostel offers a self-catering kitchen and pleasant common rooms. Pets are welcome in several of the rooms (pre-booking).
