Col du Ånnaboda is a classic road route for those who like climbing. From Örebro you cycle on paved roads, with a few short stretches of gravel, all the way up to the heart of Kilsbergen.

The tour offers beautiful views, a steep climb and the reward, Ånnaboda, where you can breathe out and eat well in the cozy bistro before going downhill again back to town.

    St Nicolai church

    The starting point is St. Nicolai church in the center of Örebro. The medieval church with its mighty tower is an obvious symbol of the city and an atmospheric place to start the cycling adventure. From here, you leave the city streets and pedal out towards Kilsbergen.

    There's a sandy beach, jetties and plenty of space for sunbathing and picnics. Perfect for a quick dip on the way or a nice afternoon by the water.

    Café Svanen is a cozy stop at Tysslingen where you can enjoy coffee or ice cream with a view of the rich bird life.

    Ånnaboda

    Ånnaboda is a well-known outdoor facility in Kilsbergen, 235 meters above sea level. There is a restaurant, café, swimming area and hiking trails. Perfect for a break with a view of the lake, whether you want to replenish your energy or just enjoy nature.

    Bad Lägardammen

    A really charming swimming spot, perfect for a detour during your bike ride. Take a dip from the jetty or the shore. The tranquil location makes it a favorite for locals and visitors alike.

Good to know

This tour is easy and does not require any specific prior knowledge. You cycle mostly on paved country roads with a few short passages on gravel roads. There is a bistro and café in Ånnaboda that is open all year round.
