In the middle of the Småland cultural landscape lies Åleberg's guesthouse - a peaceful oasis surrounded by oaks, lime trees and lush green pastures. Here you can sit down with a cup of coffee or stay overnight to explore the surroundings. The guesthouse is perfectly located for those who want to cycle through Vilhelm Moberg's home area or discover the fascinating glassworks of Glasriken. The gravel road that winds past the meadows leads you to excursion destinations in all directions, with the sound of the forest ever present.
The focus is on food and drink - locally produced, local and prepared with care. All meals are made from scratch with the best seasonal ingredients, and great emphasis is placed on sustainability and taste. The philosophy is simple but genuine: good food that reflects the nature and traditions around us.
The hosts Mikael and Helena Berzelius belong to the fifth generation on the farm. After careful renovation work, they opened Ålebergs Gästhus for the first guests in the fall of 2023. Upstairs, two charming rooms await, each tastefully decorated with a unique touch. Both rooms have fully tiled bathrooms with shower and toilet, and can be booked as single or double rooms, with up to four beds. Next to the guest house you will find Sigges Handelsbod - a flea market filled with antiques and finds from several decades of collecting by Helena Berzelius' father, Sigvard "Sigge" Johansson.
Ålebergs Gästhus is part of the member benefits at Sweden by Bike. As a member, you get access to discounts at selected accommodations, cafés, bike rentals, restaurants, museums, and other attractions.
