The first stage starts with an archipelago boat from central Stockholm to Tyresö, where the cycling adventure begins. The first stop is Tyresö Castle, a magnificent 17th-century castle surrounded by English gardens and sparkling water. Take a short walk over to the small islands in the castle park and enjoy the views before continuing along quiet roads towards Tyresta National Park.
Here you'll find old-growth forests with trees that have stood for more than four centuries, tranquil lakes and a wealth of wildlife. Take a break from your bike and wander among the fragrant pines and birches, or take a refreshing dip in one of the clear lakes.
After the experiences in Tyresta, you continue on winding roads through forests and open landscapes until you reach the idyllic coastal village of Dalarö, the gateway to Stockholm's southern archipelago. Once a customs station, Dalarö became a popular seaside resort in the 19th century, known for its colorful wooden houses and seaside charm. Stroll through the picturesque alleys, take a dip at the beach of Schweizerdalen or visit the small church from the 15th century before checking into your accommodation by the sea.
