Here at the northern tip of the lake is Olshammar and a bit up is Askersund with a nice harbor for recreational boats. To the west are the large lakes Undern and Skagern. On the southern part of the map leaf is Karlsborg&#039;s powerful fortress on the shore of V\u00e4ttern. The fortress was supposed to house both king and parliament in the 19th century if there was war. Bicycle map V\u00e4ttern around (northern part) gives a detailed picture of the cycling routes in the area.<\/p>\n<p>On the northern part of the map sheet are Gullsp\u00e5ng in the west, T\u00f6reboda, Lax\u00e5, Askersund and \u00c5sbro in the east. The part of this bicycle map showing the southern part of the area has locations such as Mariestad in the northeast, Sk\u00f6vde in the southeast, T\u00f6reboda, Tibro and Karlsborg. To the west are Motala and Vadstena.
