History is present everywhere, not least through all ancient castles. The island was open to attack and the inhabitants needed to protect themselves. In the middle of the island lies perhaps the most impressive name of Ismanstorp. In Borgholm you can look at the castle ruins and visit Solliden&#039;s castle a few kilometers away. Bicycle map \u00d6land gives a detailed picture of the cycling routes on \u00d6land.<\/p>\n<p>The bicycle map covers the whole of \u00d6land and extends from the northern cape with the L\u00e5nge Erik lighthouse in the north down to L\u00e5nge Jan in the south.
