With good cycling maps and a little adventure, you can find your way to many small nice accommodations in Roslagen. The <\/strong>says the tour operator Hannele Gladh who runs the company ResGladh in Norrt\u00e4lje<\/strong>. And she notices that tourists like to move as much as they like a good meal when they arrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With her company ResGladh, Hannele Gladh offers travel packages in Sweden, \u00c5land and Finland. The trips contain a lot of experiences and usually a lot of movement. A popular part of the offer consists of bicycle trips in Roslagen. The reasons are many.<\/p>\n

- In my eyes, what characterizes Roslagen's friendly accommodation, a charming small scale, personal service, that there are both rural environments and the archipelago. Then there are many small roads that are not so busy. The nature experience really varies with the bike packages, some take you out into the archipelago, others out into deep forests, says Hannele Gladh.<\/p>\n

She is also chairman of Hike & Bike Roslagen, which is a collaboration between several small entrepreneurs in the tourism industry in Roslagen and which aims to promote the development of cycling and hiking tourism. According to Hannele Gladh, the initiative has led to increased cycling in the area.<\/p>\n

- We have definitely noticed results from it. The origin was that we had the opportunity to participate in the EU project Quadruple 2011 and received financial support that we could use to produce maps and a cycling guide with different routes and an overview map. Since then, we have started the collaboration with Sweden by Bike and are included in Norstedt's fine cycling maps. It has made a big difference. Previously, there was almost no information and it is difficult to go out and cycle completely on your own, says Hannele Gladh.<\/p>\n

In Roslagen, it is extra important to have good maps, she says, because there are no clearly signposted trails.<\/p>\n

- Everything is as if not served on a silver tray here, it can be a little challenging with the orientation sometimes, but that is part of the charm I think. You need good map material to be sure to find sometimes.<\/p>\n

In her business, she notices that people are interested in getting physically active during the holidays. In that context, bicycle travel fits very well.<\/p>\n

- There are many who want an active, mobile holiday today. They are looking for fresh air, exercise and experiences. If you go on a cycling trip over three or four days, you are guaranteed to get lots of impressions of various kinds, and it is appreciated.<\/p>\n

A good travel experience should include nature, nice accommodation, good service and not least a great dining experience, thinks Hannele Gladh. She notices this in the feedback she receives from her bicycle package customers.<\/p>\n

- Customers value their dining experiences highly. It can be anything from a picnic basket to a homemade dinner, but a good meal is something you remember.<\/p>\n

Sweden by Bike wonders what a Roslagen expert such as Hannele Gladh sees as her special strawberry place in the area. It turns out that she likes the summer as a whole, when the whole of Roslagen is blooming and there are people everywhere and there are a lot of activities going on. She thrives just as well in central Norrt\u00e4lje as in nature.<\/p>\n

- But if I just sit down and relax in a beautiful environment, it is clear that I like to sit on the rocks at Arholma and enjoy the view.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
