The Kattegatt Trail The Grand Tour follows the entire new sea-close cycle path, the Kattegatt Trail. The tour starts in Helsingborg and ends in Gothenburg. You cycle and live all the time near the coast and sea, 8 days, with 7 nights. A selection of Skåne's and Halland's best accommodations await you, in high-quality hotels with free access to the pool, spa or gym and a night at nice Bed & Breakfast.

Bicycle packages start in Helsingborg at Knutpunkten (the train station), where the luggage is also left, and end in Gothenburg. If you have your own car, parked at the departure point, it is easy to get back there by train or bus after the completed bike ride (you can bring your bike on board the Öresund train). There is a long-term parking on Sockerbruksgatan in Helsingborg, not far from Knutpunkten.

The cycle route follows the Kattegatt Trail, Sweden's first national cycle route, along the salt-sprayed coast as close to the sea as possible. You cycle across Skåne's both scenic and well-known peninsula, Kulla Peninsula and Bjäre Peninsula, through Halland's charming coastal cities, Halmstad, Falkenberg, Varberg and Kungsbacka.

The Kattegatt Trail is safe, secure and mostly car-free or goes on low-traffic roads in a bike-friendly landscape with no difficult slopes, with a small exception, day 3, which offers a slightly more scenic landscape. Please note that some shorter stretches of the Kattegatt trail remain to be corrected and are still on slightly more busy roads. The package includes seven nights with breakfast in a double room: 6 nights in 3-4 star hotels and one night at cozy Bed & Breakfast (own shower and toilet in the room, sheets, towels and cleaning included).

Please note that the price is slightly higher June 13-August 16, 2019 (from SEK 9 950 / person and accommodation in a double room).

Feel free to come a day earlier, experience Helsingborg, sleep well in hotels and charge for the bike ride. If you arrive early, you can also "tour" to Helsingör. The ferry takes only 20 minutes. Or would you like to stay for an extra night in Gothenburg and visit Liseberg, shop or just take a boat trip on the canals and rest your legs? See price for extra overnight stay under "Possible options" in the column above right.

Well organized and beautiful tour. Nice hotel. But we would have liked a little more tips on sights / eateries along the way. We missed Vilk's artwork outside Arild, for example, why was it not mentioned in the information sheet?

It has been a fantastic holiday on 2 wheels. Most of the accommodations were really good and some a little worse. In Kungsbacka, the hotel was renovated so we had breakfast in a room with windowed windows. The breakfast was also really poor. Coffee in paper cups and ready-made sandwiches! But the bike experience itself was incredibly nice! Sailing on bicycles in our beautiful country and discovering nice places along the way is a kick to the soul. The most beautiful was the route between Helsingborg to Båstad! Arild is a gem
