Experience the High Coast's magnificent landscape in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way from the bike saddle! In this bike package you cycle for more than two days on the beautiful Nordingrå peninsula in the very heart of the World Heritage High Coast. Here, the traces from the most recent ice age are visible in the landscape with corded sea coves, cobbles and cobblestone fields.
Combine your cycling with the experience of arts, crafts, shorter hikes and grand summits along the way. Both days end with a good dinner and overnight stay in a relaxing, genuine environment. The meals are organic and made from high quality locally produced ingredients. Luggage is easily transported between your accommodation.
The landscape of the High Coast landscape is more hilly than many other areas in Sweden and therefore there are stable, rechargeable electric bicycles on which you ride many miles without having to recharge. You can travel here by own car or by train to, for example, Kramfors or Härnösand and from there take the "World Heritage Bus" to Nordingrå, a commitment to public transport in the county to the most attractive places and sights.
Lappudden - Anders Åbergs Mannaminne - Björnås
The day starts at Lappuddens Open Air Center where you get your bikes, get lunch packages, maps and the information you need for the day's tour. This day begins with a visit to the artist's workshop and craft shop "Myller" in the nearby village of Vännsta. Then you cycle along Vågsfjärden and after about 5 km you reach the path up to the mountain and the viewpoint Rödklitten. The mountain is a so-called "south growth mountain" with interesting, unusual flora for the region. At the top of the Red dune was during the Iron Age (about 500 years after Christ) an ancient castle that probably served as the countryside's defense and refuge. Today, the tracks after the bail are few, but the County Administrative Board's signs describe where the bail has been. Enjoy your picnic lunch and a great view from the top of the mountain. Then you cycle on towards Häggvik and the now deceased artist Anders Åberg's life work, the unique outdoor museum Mannaminne. At Mannaminne there is the steep trail up the mountain "Stortorget" with a classic, magnificent view of the Trångsundet, Gaviksfjärden and the villages of Häggvik and Sund.
From Häggvik you continue cycling on a forest road or car road towards the village of Björnås where you spend the night at Pelle Åbergsgården, a traditional steam man's farm. Here, the local artist family Åberg has spent their summers and now year-round accommodation is run on the farm with sustainability as a guiding star. Dinner is enjoyed at the restaurant Gårdsbutiken (White Guide), which is a short bike distance in the village of Själand where you can also buy locally produced delicacies.

Björnås - Rotsiden Nature Reserve - Lappudden
The day starts with an organic breakfast basket on one of the farm's patios. This day you cycle about 30 km on the southern part of the Nordingrå peninsula. Packed lunches and thermos with hot drink included. The luggage is transported to the next accommodation. The bike ride goes along hilly, picturesque roads towards the southern part of the Nordingrå peninsula to the Rotsiden Nature Reserve and the picturesque fishing villages of Barsta and Bönhamn. There are worthwhile old chapels and fishing booths. Nowhere else in Sweden are the old fishing villages as close as here in the World Heritage High Coast.
You reach Rootsidan's mighty nature reserve where the unique, grinded rock caves meet the constant noise of the sea, through a wide gravel road between the villages of Barsta and Fällsvik. At Rotsidan, you can hike both along the cliffs and on the path that runs between Fällsvik and Barsta, and if it is a sunny and warm day it fits great with a dip in the sea. There are also barbecue areas and a toilet. The cycling journey continues past the villages of Ådal and Sörle where the land rise is clearly visible towards the Ringkallen mountain. The bicycle tour will be reconnected past Pelle Åbergsgården and further past the village of Själand to the local art gallery Orsta (open during high summer). You pass the beautiful Själand lake and continue the cycle tour through the picturesque villages of Orsta, Tollsätter and Salberg. Maybe a visit to the Ulvik foundry. The mighty Omne Mountain at the village of Omne can offer a summit hike or a swim at Lake Omnes. Then you cycle back through Bergsåker towards Vallen and visit Nordingrå church and church ruin next to Vågsfjärden. After another 2.5 km you are at Lappuddens Friluftcenter where overnight stay in cozy cabin and dinner awaits.
