Along the way you meet a beautiful cultural landscape and get to experience close contact with beech forests. The view from the lush plateau mountain Kinnekulle will be a highlight in more ways than one. Another is that you live next door to the magnificent Läckö castle which was once owned by the De la Gardie family.

Lake Vänern is not only Sweden's largest lake, it actually comes in third place in Europe in terms of size. The view of the lake from Kinnekulle is adorable. There will be many beautiful nature experiences during the days on the bike. On Kållandsö there is beautiful nature and a cultural history that is interesting to take part of. Where Läckö Castle is located, there was a castle already in the 13th century and its current appearance was given to the castle in the 17th century when it was owned by Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie. On the site is not only the magnificent castle building but also Naturum Vänerskärgården where you can learn more about the local nature with its wildlife and fauna.
You start the day in charming Töreboda by the Göta Canal and cycle towards Lugnås through a fertile landscape with cornfields, forests and lakes. You are never far from mighty Lake Vänern.

The rooms are quiet and soothing, all with natural furnishings, comfortable beds and beautiful views of the forest, castle or Vänerskärgården.
