There is probably a small possibility that you have never slept in a hostel in the form of a train. You can also change that when you come to picturesque Nora in Bergslagen. You sleep in train compartments in a sleeping car and outside the window the Nora Sea glitters. The sleeping carts are original from 1931 with all the beautiful details left. A charming ending to a bike day in the beautiful area!

The city of Nora is a gem. The wooden buildings give a feeling of cozy 19th century. You know, well, that it was Nora who wrote the cover author Dagmar Lange (Maria Lang), even though she renamed the town to Skoga in her books. There are nice cafes and shops to visit after you park your bike. You are in Bergslagen and not far from the city you will find Siggebohyttan's mountain farm. It was built in the late 18th century and is a grand example of a farm from a time when iron handling was still intensive in the area. Inside Nora you can enjoy a guided tour in the Göthlinska farm which is a well-preserved bourgeoisie from the 19th century. You who enjoy mountain biking are in an Eldorado with lots of nice trails nearby.

Return to Nora Tåghem. Before you spend the night in your cozy cabin, you can read a book (by Maria Lang perhaps) or watch TV in the first-class armchairs in the saloon carriage at Nora Tåghem. There is also a self-catering section if you want to cook the food yourself. If you want breakfast served, it is provided in the bistro trolley. Toilets are located at each end of each trolley at the hostel. New for the season is that there is also a shower available in the carts. There are also compartments where pets are allowed (pre-booked via mail / phone).
