This cycling package invites you on an unforgettable island-hopping journey by bike and boat, exploring Stockholm's central archipelago and the islands surrounding the picturesque town of Vaxholm. The archipelago boat from Stockholm takes you out to Tynningö, where you cycle along the coastal road. Here you will be greeted by large, magnificent archipelago villas and pass both beaches and the island's highest point, Tynningö Klack. The journey then continues by boat to Rindö, where you can admire the impressive Oskar-Fredriksborg Fortress that proudly protects the fairway to Stockholm. The day ends in the charming archipelago town of Vaxholm, with its bustling harbor and picturesque alleys. The second day is spent exploring Ljusterö - a larger island with coastal roads, fishing villages and stunning views. You cycle through the narrow peninsula Östra Lagnö and enjoy what is perhaps the best view in the archipelago at Ljusterö Huvud. The trip ends with a relaxing cruise back to Stockholm. Enjoy the beautiful views as the boat winds its way past islands, narrow canals and idyllic summer houses.

The trip can also start at Nacka Strand, Hasseludden in Nacka or Gåshaga pier on Lidingö. If you choose to travel on a Saturday, a 3-course dinner in Vaxholm is also included, the price is then SEK 2,830 per person.

Follow the stunning coastal road as it winds around the island, with the sea always within sight. As you cycle, you'll pass by tranquil beaches and take in the breathtaking views from Tynningö Klack. Returning to the coastal road, you'll head north of the island before taking a short and scenic afternoon boat ride to the next island, Rindö.

Rindö is renowned for its military heritage, home to impressive sites such as the Oskar-Fredriksborg Fort and Rindö Redutt, both strategically placed to safeguard the vital shipping lanes leading into Stockholm. Take your time to explore the island on two wheels and enjoy a well-deserved break with refreshments at the bustling Rindö harbor. Here, you'll find local cheese makers, breweries, and a charming waterfront restaurant where you can indulge in delicious culinary delights.

Following your visit to Rindö, it's time to hop to the next island and explore the charming village of Vaxholm, aptly known as the gateway to Stockholm's archipelago for its prime location at the edge of this vast expanse of islands. Immerse yourself in the idyllic atmosphere of this picturesque seaside village, taking in the lively harbor, colorful wooden houses, and breathtaking fortress of Kastellet, offering panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. Day 2 - Vaxholm - Ljusterö - Svartsö - Stockholm

After savoring a delectable breakfast, you'll once again bring your trusty bike onboard the archipelago boat to continue your journey to the next destination - Ljusterö. As one of the largest and most captivating islands in the archipelago, Ljusterö is brimming with fascinating sights and experiences. Your journey will commence along the picturesque coastal road, passing by the bustling harbor at Linanäs and the charming fishing village of Laggarsvik. Along the way, you'll take a short detour to Ljusterö Huvud, a lookout point that provides a breathtaking view of the archipelago. This vista is widely regarded as one of the best in all of Stockholm's archipelago, making it an absolute must-visit.

During the afternoon, you'll take a scenic route along the small roads that wind through the narrow peninsula of Östra Lagnö, which extends approximately 10 kilometers into the outer archipelago. The rocks along the way have been sculpted into smooth shapes by the inland ice from the Ice Age, creating a truly enchanting landscape with awe-inspiring views of the horizon.
