In this bike package you will experience the charming mill town Borgvik, where the iron for the Eiffel Tower is said to have been produced, and can visit the Sliperie's unique art gallery. Karlstad has a rich cultural life, and the stunning Klarälven river flows through the city. The trip ends in Kristinehamn, where the world-famous Picasso sculpture Jacqueline looking out over Lake Vänern.

Day 1 - Arrival in Karlstad and Borgvik

Your adventure begins in Karlstad, where convenient transportation takes you to the charming mill town of Borgvik, a historic gem nestled in scenic surroundings. This well-preserved village has a rich history dating back to the time when it played a central role in Sweden's iron exports. Take a stroll along the cobbled streets, admire the beautiful wooden buildings and visit the old ironworks. Don't miss the art exhibition at Sliperiet and a visit to the craft shops.
Stay at the historic Hotel Kungskvarnen, located in the heart of Borgvik. This historic hotel combines tradition and modern comfort. End the evening with a dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Day 2 - Bike ride from Borgvik to Karlstad

After a delicious breakfast at Hotel Kungskvarnen, it's time to embark on a cycling adventure along the scenic Union Trail. This stage takes you through the beautiful landscape of Lake Vänern, where forests, open fields and glimpses of the lake create an ever-changing view. Take the opportunity to stop at one of the cozy resting places along the way to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty.
Once in Karlstad, you check in at the elegant Elite Stadshotellet, perfectly located in the center of town and with a beautiful view of the Klarälven river. From here, you're within walking distance of the city's best attractions, shops and restaurants. In the evening, you can stroll along the river promenade, enjoy a good dinner at a local restaurant or explore Karlstad's rich cultural life. There's something for everyone, whether you're drawn to art, music or history.
Day 3 - Bike ride from Karlstad to Kristinehamn

After an invigorating breakfast at Elite Stadshotellet, your journey continues east towards Kristinehamn. You'll cycle along the coast of Lake Vänern, where the open landscape and sparkling waters of the lake create a stunning backdrop for the day's adventure. The route offers a mix of scenic views and charming little villages, perfect for a break with a coffee or picnic.
Once in Kristinehamn, check in at the cozy Park Hotel Kristinehamn. The hotel's central location makes it easy to explore the city's sights, such as the impressive Picasso sculpture on the shores of Lake Vänern - one of the world's largest sculptures by the iconic artist. End the day with a relaxing walk along the waterfront or a good dinner at one of the city's pleasant restaurants.
Day 4 - Return journey

After a good breakfast at the hotel, it's time to start the journey home. With memories of beautiful landscapes, historical environments and unique experiences in your luggage, you leave this trip filled with inspiration and new energy.
