A bike package for those who want to discover the beautiful northern part of Gotland with Fårö - the fantastic nature and the mysterious rauks. Gotland is Sweden's largest island with an almost 800 km long coast. The island's history goes far back in time and in Visby, narrow cobbled streets, warehouses and church ruins testify to bygone times. Here the cycling is simple, the landscape is flat and the sea is constantly present.
On your way to Fårö you cycle past the Lummelund Caves and Krusmyntagården. Take a dip in the lovely "Blue Lagoon" in northern Gotland. The cycling holiday starts and ends with one night at the Best Western Solhem Hotel in Visby. You can pick up your bikes at Visby Rental Bike, at Österport (Ring Wall).
You can shorten the bike package if you do not want to cycle for so many days, and then you just enter your wishes when booking. Price reduction 600 SEK / person if you have your own bike.
Right next to Visby's well-preserved ring wall from the 13th century, in the beautiful Palissad Park, lies the Best Western Solhem Hotel. Once you've installed yourself, it's time to look around at the Visby World Heritage Site. The city is one of the best preserved medieval cities, the alleys, ruins, churches and the mighty ring wall give a very special atmosphere. Here are nice parks and the sea right next to the lures for swimming. Watch the sunset in the ocean from the boardwalk and then stroll into town for dinner at one of all the cozy restaurants.
Visby - Lummelunda - Lärbro
After a delicious breakfast buffet, the adventure begins. The bike ride goes north from Visby with the ring wall on the right and the sea on the left. Right at the beginning you pass the park Almedalen, the center of the annual politician week. On the way there is also Snäckgärdsbadet with beaches and jetties. At Krusmyntagården you can have coffee and stroll in the herb garden.
About 13 km north of Visby you reach Lummelunda Cave, take a guided tour and see the large cave halls with their mirror lakes, strange fossils and all beautiful stalactite formations. The waterfall at the mouth of the cave was used for a long time as a source of power. There has been a grain mill, water saw and later an entire ironworks, take the opportunity to see the big water wheel and the old buildings. Sit down in a beautiful place by the sea and enjoy your packed lunch. If you have the strength, you can take an extra trip of about 15 km to Häftingsklint and on to Hagvards and Medeby's Raukar. Here you can take a dip in the sea before continuing north towards Lärbro Vandrarhem where dinner and accommodation await.
Lärbro - Fårö
You cycle on small roads that meander beautifully along the sea. The first place you come to is small lively Kappelshamn which is located right on the water. You cycle past an old quarry, which is now filled with cool turquoise blue water and is called "Blue Lagoon". In Fårösund, the ferry takes you across the strait to Fårö, which is today's destination. The ferry takes only 8 minutes and is free.

Now it's time to explore Fårö. The island has several areas with rauks, these stately limestone formations created with the sea as an artist. Some tips are in the rough areas are Old Harbor, Digerhuvud and Langhammars. Helgoman's fishing location is a magical place you must not miss!
On the northeastern part of Fårö you meet another nature, hilly heights with open pine forest and dunes. Nice bathing places are easy to find, Ekeviken is an example.
